Commercial vehicle company MAC’s Truck Sales has invested £10 million in new vehicles ahead of its launch of a truck rental business next month.
The new business, called MAC's Truck Rental & Leasing Co, will begin operating on 15 September from the same head office site in Huddersfield.
MAC's Truck Rental will focus on specialist vehicle types, including skip vehicles, hookloaders, crane-mounted trucks, beaver tail/cheese wedge rigids, as well as tipper trucks and tipper grab trucks – with DAF, Volvo and Scania the predominant vehicle marques in the range.
The investment, says the company, will enable it to offer a fleet of vehicles on short, medium and long-term hire from day one. Vehicles are all Euro 6 models with WVTA (whole vehicle type approval) certified bodies.
