BLS Truck & Van has opened for business in Aberdeen as the Mercedes-Benz dealer in the north of Scotland, taking over the site from former franchisee Caledonian Truck and Van.
BLS is a sister company to Bell Truck and Van, the Mercedes-Benz dealer for the north-east of England, and both are owned by Leo Group.
BLS managing director and co-owner is Ben Sowersby (pictured), who holds the same role at Bell Truck and Van.
Former Caledonian employees Colin Birnie and Andrew Rennie now work at BLS, as head of aftersales and head of truck sales, respectively.
BLS has already begun a refurbishment programme of the facility, on Aberdeen’s Altens Industrial Estate.
The Aberdeen workshop has an ATF lane and is now awaiting sign-off from the DVSA for truck MOTs.
BLS is also looking to open another facility in the Highlands and is negotiating on several potential locations.
