Calor fired up by TruTac technology

Calor Gas says TruTac’s tachograph analysis technology is underpinning the company’s fleet compliance and safety strategy.

“We rely greatly on TruTac’s bespoke management systems to ensure we maintain the safest fleet possible,” confirms David Brown, fleet asset manager for the LPG supplier.

Calor downloads and manages all vehicle and driver tacho data using the online TruControl portal and DigiPostPro terminals at each site.

The TruAnalysis module (including TruDriver and TruView) provides dashboards, giving reports and alerts on the status of every driver and vehicle in the fleet.

The operator has worked with TruTac since 2004 and, says Brown, “has developed and modified software programmes in step with our operational and management needs”.

Calor’s drivers are monitored with the software, and any infringements are automatically logged and highlighted.

For added management control, Calor’s regional lead trainers use the automated reporting system to highlight operational KPIs and the TruView dashboard to ensure that all processes are being followed. Then, every three months, each region can review its data and take any corrective action deemed necessary.

“Ongoing training for our transport managers and site personnel is also provided by TruTac,” says Brown.

“This ensures all relevant personnel keep abreast of new software developments as they are introduced, and we get maximum value from the software.”

Calor Gas is also evaluating a fully-combined telematics, tracking and remote downloading solution via a TruTac partner.
