Commercial vehicle body and trailer manufacturer Cartwright has taken delivery of six Mercedes-Benz Sprinters, the latest to join its 22-strong Sprinter fleet of service vehicles.
Supplied by dealer Ciceley Commercials, the six long-bodied 313 CDI vehicles have been fitted with racking and are being used by Altrincham-based Cartrwright's fleet services division to carry spares, as well as tools, generators and compressors.
"When we set up the mobile repair service in May 2013, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was our first choice of van because of its excellent reputation for reliability and fuel-efficiency, and its class-leading safety and comfort specifications," says Lawrence Todd, Cartwright's fleet director.
Downtime is minimised with Ciceley's workshop available around the clock – another key benefit, confirms Todd.
"Ciceley also worked with our mobile engineers to develop and improve the internal racking on these latest vehicles, and it certainly made our lives easier to have one single supplier for the finished vehicles," he adds.
The vans have been acquired with Agility funding packages from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. Agility gives operators the choice of paying a lump sum to retain the vehicle, using it as part exchange, or returning it free of obligation.
