Cartwright worked with the retailer on the unit’s design, which includes a Moffett at the rear, Cheetah aerodynamic profile and buckle-less curtains with an air-operated tension system.
The package also includes the flexibility of hire trailers from Cartwright’s rental division.
Pets at Home’s drivers were asked for input to the design and their feedback on the new trailers has been “very positive”, according to Steve Travis, the retailer’s general manager for transport.
He adds: “We have developed over time a very good working relationship with the Cartwright team and the 11 bespoke double-deck trailers ... are a testament to how receptive they are to meeting our specification.
“The service from the Cartwright team has been excellent from the initial quotation through to after sales service. We look forward to working with them again.”
