Cartwright trailer is icing on the cake for Williams Haulage

Williams Haulage has purchased its first Cartwright trailer – a double-deck curtainsider for its contract with a cupcakes customer – following its “excellent” experience renting the company’s trailers.

The Denbighshire-based firm is committed to reducing CO2 emissions so its new double-deck curtainsider with lifting deck has been specified with a Cheetah GS sloping front roof design to improve fuel efficiency.

Huw Williams, managing director of Williams Haulage, says: “We have had an excellent customer experience with Cartwright over the past couple of years renting their trailers, and this has led to us purchasing our first trailer from them for operating this major client contract.

“We have been impressed with Cartwright particularly in terms of their quality. Their products are built to last and, from point of order to delivery, the service has been seamless.”

The new trailer was required, he explains, for the customer’s deliveries to supermarkets. “You get 41 pallets on this Cartwright trailer, whereas you normally only get 26 pallets – which obviously adds value to the whole operation,” says Williams.

The new addition joins the operator’s 39-strong fleet of rigids, flats and artics.
