Celtic Manor Resort, in South Wales, has upgraded its Mercedes-Benz fleet with five new Traveliners – three Sprinter CDIs and two Vito 116 CDIs – to transport guests around the 2,000-acre estate.
Supplied by dealer Euro Commercials (South Wales) on a CharterWay contract hire, through Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Celtic Manor's Sprinters have 17 seats while its new Vitos have nine.
One of the Sprinters has been adapted to take wheelchairs, with an underfloor tail-lift and floor tracking. All have three-year, unlimited mileage warranties.
"Each vehicle is contracted to cover 40,000 miles per year and we have some very steep hills at Celtic Manor, which means a lot of gear changing, and wear and tear on the driveline and brakes," says transport manager Tim Fosdick.
"Previous experience has proved that the Mercedes-Benz Traveliner offers the build quality, engineering integrity and reliability to withstand this demanding regime, as well as being very economical to operate," he adds.
