Employees at Volvo dealer Dennison Commercials have raised more than £24,000 for the Marie Curie charity.
The amount – raised through the Payroll Giving scheme – will fund around 1,200 hours of local nursing care.
John Johnston, vehicle handover specialist at Dennison, has been donating since the scheme’s induction within the company in 2003. “It’s surprising to think a small amount coming out of everyone’s wages could raise this amount.
“I signed up because it was a good cause and one that could affect someone I know, but I never thought we would all make such a difference and I am happy to say I had a small part to play in it.”
