Gillingham-based manufacturer L Robinson & Co – which makes the Jubilee Clip – has sponsored a team in the Mongolia Charity Rally.
The 9,000-mile fundraising trek was completed in a second-hand LDV Convoy van. Under rally rules, teams have to drive from central London to the Mongolia capital of Ulaanbaatar, by a route of their own choosing, with no support, using vehicles which are donated to the charity when they arrive at the finish line.
Charlie Nicholls, an electrician with Jubilee Clips, his brother Paul and their friend Tom Cardale undertook the challenge to support organiser GoHelp's range of initiatives in Mongolia, including the Book House Project, an education centre aimed at children who have no access to proper schools.
The team, called 'The Bearded Dragons', took six weeks to complete the journey.
