Citan van is top choice for courier firm

Cheshire-based Topspeed Couriers has acquired five more Mercedes-Benz Citan vans to add to its previous order of 10, after finding the vehicle more than met its operational demands.
The company already had Vito and Sprinter models on its 50-strong fleet when the Citan was launched earlier this year. Its 15 Citans – supplied by Enza of Warrington – are all long-bodied 109 CDIs and powered by 90bhp common-rail diesel engines. Stephen Clegg, Topspeed's managing director, explains: "With hard-earned reputations to guard, our private and public sector customers expect the very highest standards... "Our vans cover high mileages but we cannot use this as an excuse for a breakdown. Only Mercedes-Benz offers us the reliability, longevity and ease of maintenance, coupled with comprehensive warranty cover and back-up, which we need." The Citan range offers up to 65.7mpg with CO2 emissions of 112 g/km. A folding bulkhead provides maximum load length, as well as protection for the driver, and it has a maximum payload of 735kg. Topspeed offers time-critical logistics services for clients with hazardous, secure, nuclear and medical transport requirements.
