Crane hire specialist City Lifting is celebrating a decade of vehicle tracking with AGM Telematics – with equipment covering its fleet of cranes, fitters’ and service engineers’ vans, HGVs, pick-ups and mobile tower cranes.
“It’s all about logistics,” comments director Bob Jones. “There are often hold-ups on site, which can cause bottlenecks. In such cases, we can react instantly and speed up or slow down the movement of vehicles according to requirements.”
Driver performance is also monitored, with staff and management able to review and improve driving behaviour, while the online log of vehicle movements helps provide defences against traffic disputes.
