Coach tour operator Harry Shaw has taken delivery of a new, high-spec Scania OmniExpress coach to transport customers to the coasts of Spain.
The 14m-long vehicle is based on a Scania K 400 EB6x2*4 chassis, equipped with a 400bhp Euro 5 Scania engine mated to the fully-automated Opticruise transmission.
The vehicle is a replacement for an identical coach purchased by the Coventry-based operator three years ago.
The OmniExpress has 55 half leather trimmed reclining seats, three-point seatbelts, DVD player and two monitors, a centre sunken toilet, climate control air conditioning and a drinks machine.
"The vehicle will be used mainly on our own Spanish holidays, so we specified a longer length vehicle with only 55 seats to give passengers extra comfort," explains John Shaw, director.
And he adds: "The back-up we receive from Scania made choosing the same model again an easy decision."
