Scania (Great Britain) has announced that work is underway on its new UK headquarters in Milton Keynes, due for completion in summer 2018.

The project, managed by construction firm Kier, will see the addition of a 54,750 sq ft, three-storey HQ to the existing site, along with a new facilities building of almost 5,000 sq ft.

Once the new building is complete, Kier will demolish the existing facilities space, leaving a new, vibrant location with open plan working space and atrium.

Scania has been in Milton Keynes for 36 years and has a 230-strong workforce.

Claes Jacobsson, managing director for Scania (Great Britain), commented: “As one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle suppliers and one the longest established companies in Milton Keynes, this development reconfirms our commitment to both our industry and the area in which we are based.”
