Des Evans, chief executive of MAN Truck & Bus UK, has stepped down from his post due to illness.
His role will be performed by the board of directors until a successor is appointed.
Vince Welsh, MAN's UK director for aftersales, echoes the thoughts of many, saying: "Everyone involved with Des, be they customers, work colleagues or suppliers, will want to wish this larger-than-life character a speedy and full recovery."
