The company built the first wedge-shaped, double-deck trailer in 2002 in response to a request for two full-length decks on a straight-frame design. The customer’s need for more headroom on the bottom deck led to the first wedge shape.
In 2010, Don-Bur designed the first 52-pallet moving deck trailer for a Mothercare contract – and 52-pallet lifting deck trailers have appeared on the Don-Bur stand at the CV Show.
The same technology has been used on a recent order for 52-pallet Wedge hydraulic lifting deck trailers, this time for a global parcel carrier. The unit boasts a top deck width of 2.44m, enough to fit 26 pallets on each deck with room to spare.
In 2014, Don-Bur upped capacity even more when it produced a longer semi-trailer version to take 60 pallets.
