DVSA Remote Enforcement Office completes successful trial

Traffic commissioner Sarah Bell has announced the successful completion of the DVSA's Remote Enforcement Office (REO) pilot.
The trial was carried out in the Western Traffic area and a UK roll-out is expected to be confirmed shortly. With REO, instead of a DVSA examiner visiting an operator's premises to check records, information will be sent to the DVSA office for review. The news has been welcomed by compliance software provider r2c Online. Not only, it says, will the process be more effective for DVSA, but it will also be simple for users of systems such as r2C Online, who will be able to provide documentation swiftly and easily. R2C Online representatives will be attending the IRTE Conference this week (17 September).
