Energy Haulage generates business with new crane truck

Rigids Cranes
Energy Haulage says it is already winning new business after taking delivery of a new 32-tonne Volvo FH 460 beavertail crane truck.

Built and supplied by MV Commercial, the vehicle is fitted with a Cormach 6000 E6 crane and is being used on general haulage as well as delivering generator equipment to outdoor events and construction sites.

With a maximum payload of 11.5 tonnes and the ability to lift 2.6 tonnes at a reach of 15.6m, the new vehicle has also been specified with a sleeper cabin with air conditioning and a 12V power supply for cooking facilities.

“We selected MV Commercial as our supplier, primarily because the previous equipment we received from them has performed outstandingly,” says Iain Cooksley, senior manager at the Buckinghamshire-based operator.

“When we needed to expand, and upgrade our capabilities to carry extra weight and have a longer reach crane, MV was our first port of call.”

The new acquisition is already proving its worth, he adds: “It’s a major commercial differentiator for our business and, best of all, the lead time for receiving it was the quickest I have ever known for a new truck build.”
