Entries are now open for the IRTE Skills Challenge 2015, in which bus and coach operators put forward teams of three technicians in a bid to find the best in the business.
The 2015 Skills Challenge will be held on 1—5 June 2015, at S&B Automotive Academy in Bristol.
During the event, technicians demonstrate their expertise in a series of mechanical, electrical and bodywork tasks, focusing on technical competence, as well as safety and reliability.
Last year more than 60 technicians and apprentices competed for the top prize.
The DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) was also involved, for the first time, backing awards for the top DVSA inspection apprentice and DVSA inspection technician.
The event is sponsored by Allison Transmission, Bridgestone, Knorr-Bremse, Shell and Teng Tools.
Entry for this year's awards is free and closes on 27 March 2105. Click the link below for the registration form.
