Environ cleans up with first Volvo vehicles

Tractor Units
Derbyshire-based Environ has taken delivery of its first two Volvo vehicles, citing competitive contract hire and dealer support as key reasons for the deal.

The Volvo FH-540 6x2 tag-axle tractors – supplied by Thomas Hardie Commercials – both have XL Globetrotter cabs and are being used to move Environ’s special trailers fitted with 7.5m-long steel vessels.

The company works with the landfill gas, biogas and biomass markets, and the steel vessels each contain 10 tonnes (20m³) of activated carbon and graphite pellets, for cleaning gas emissions on landfill sites.
