Lymm Truckwash – the largest and oldest truck wash in Europe – will open its new £2.3m Cheshire site on 14 October.
The new facility is 100m from its previous location, across the A50, and is close to J20 of the M6 and J9 of the M56, near Warrington.
The new site is home to four commercial vehicle wash systems, providing both a pre-wash and gantry wash in no more than six minutes – three minutes faster than the current site’s equipment. The bespoke washes and jet wash system have been created by WashTec.
Also, the new site uses automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) for a faster payment process, with drivers able to pay at HGV-height kiosks without leaving the cab.
Laura Cardwell, managing director of Lymm Truckwash, says: “There is no other truck wash like this in the whole of Europe for size and technology.”
