Eurovia turns to ATS Euromaster for fleet tyre cover

Tyres & Retreads
Road surfacing operator Eurovia says appointing ATS Euromaster to service and manage tyres on its 4,500 vehicles will significantly reduce replacement costs and improve fleet efficiency.
The company, which works on highways nationwide, runs a fleet that includes everything from quad bikes, vans and heavy trucks to loading shovels and specialist plant. "Vehicle uptime is of paramount importance to us," says Keith Atkins, Eurovia's group fleet engineer. "We have to keep to incredibly tight timescales and running late could cost us significant sums of money, in terms of penalties, not to mention major disruption to road users." Atkins says that delays for any reason, but particularly due to tyre-related issues that are often preventable, are simply not an option. "We need to work with a tyre contractor that can provide true national coverage 24/7 365 days a year, understands the challenges faced by our business and works with us in a proactive manner to address them," he states. Atkins explains that ATS Euromaster's technicians will "proactively inspect our tyres on a monthly basis". That, he says, should help to spot and rectify issues before they result in downtime. "We'll also be working hard together to replace tyres at the optimum time, to ensure we get the longest service life." ATS Euromaster's inspections will also support Eurovia's drivers' own daily walk-around vehicle checks, and provide the company with reports on tyre condition to boost fleet efficiency. Commenting on the service for its road surfacing operation, such as asphalt spreading machines, Atkins says ATS Euromaster will supply the range of tyres required for its entire fleet, including heavy plant.
