Fairfax Meadow firms up with Fraikin for CV supply

Commercial butcher Fairfax Meadow has selected Fraikin again as its sole commercial vehicle supplier.

As a result, the vehicle contract hire specialist is supplying the firm with 16 additional vehicles, plus renewing two existing DAF tractors, supplementing 61 vans and trucks it had already supplied.

The latest deal builds on what is now a 15-year relationship for the supply of dual-temperature vehicles.

It includes: 10 3.5-tonne Iveco Daily light commercials, with the new eight-speed Hi-Matic automated gearbox; three 7.5-tonne DAF trucks; a 26-tonne DAF truck; and one 44-tonne DAF tractor and trailer unit.

Fairfax Meadow’s national transport manager David Dearle says the full-service contract hire deal covers servicing, maintenance and repairs, as well as like-for-like vehicle replacements to prevent unplanned downtime.

“It’s great to have Fraikin back covering our full fleet,” says Dearle.

“Its professional approach to our business requirements is something you don’t find everywhere… Fraikin knows what we need and always ensures it is able to provide it,” he adds.

Dearle says his company needs the level of support Fraikin offers because its vehicles are used so intensively.

“The peace of mind this gives us can’t be understated. We know we only have to make one phone call to Fraikin and any problem will be sorted.”
