Fernhill Luxury Travel has taken delivery of a new Volvo B11R SC7 coach following on from its acquisition of a Volvo B8R SB3 earlier in the year, with managing director Richard Holgate saying it’s “the perfect vehicle”.
The Bracknell-based family-run operator selected the Sunsundegui SC7 bodywork for its good looks, and Volvo’s B11R chassis for its Euro 6 fuel consumption, and seating capacity.
Safety features include Volvo’s standard Driver Support System, which includes AEBS (automated emergency braking system), LKS (lane keeping support) and ACC (adaptive cruise control) matched to Volvo’s I-Shift AMT (automated manual transmission).
“We were very impressed with the state-of-the art Volvo DSS feature,” comments Holgate.
“We welcome any new technologies that help to improve driver safety and that of our passengers, and believe this to be an important safety development in coach transport,” he adds.
