West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service has replaced some of its fleet with a selection of vehicles from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, including the Crafter, Transporter and Caddy models.
The latest order brings West Yorkshire's number of Volkswagen vans to almost 70, including the Caddy Maxi Combi and two 5-tonne Crafters, used as large vehicle response units.
"It is vitally important that we invest in the most cost-effective and reliable fleet we can," says Glynn Richardson, fleet controller for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
"Volkswagen offers a versatile range of vehicles that provide excellent durability and reliability, which ensures the whole-life costs of the vehicles are kept to a minimum."
