The new additions bring the total to 23 fully-qualified DAF dealer driver trainers, covering DAF’s network of 34 sales locations.
The training programme was funded and delivered in a joint venture by DAF Trucks with its dealers.
“While modern commercial vehicles are becoming easier to drive, the many technological advances and driver aids mean subtle changes to driving style can have a large effect on performance,” states Mandy Wannerton, who heads up DAF Trucks’ commercial trainer and press demonstration driver department.
“Our new DAF dealer driver trainers are shown every characteristic of the DAF product and, importantly, that incisive product knowledge will allow them to demonstrate to drivers how to get the very best from their DAF trucks.”
