The winner will be announced during the Multimodal freight transport and logistics exhibition (NEC, Birmingham, 10—11 May 2016), at the FTA Multimodal Awards on 10 May.
“I’m pleased to congratulate the four companies that have made it to the final shortlist,” comments FTA chief executive David Wells, who chairs the judging panel.
“All entrants should be commended on the initiatives they are taking to reduce carbon emissions, from utilising alternative fuels and adopting sophisticated driver training programmes and telematics to making fundamental changes to their operations to improve efficiency.”
Managed by FTA, the LCRS was introduced in 2009 and is designed to recognise the efforts made by scheme members to reduce their carbon emissions from freight activity.
