Fraikin highlights Earned Recognition success story

Fraikin is highlighting the success of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s Earned Recognition scheme, as the initiative approaches its first anniversary later this month (24 April).

The commercial vehicle contract hire company is a founder member of Earned Recognition (ER) and is the only business of its type within the scheme.

Fraikin is keen to show its customers the benefits possible from ER’s time-saving elements such as digital reporting, as well as the main aim of proving driver and vehicle compliance.

In addition, Fraikin points to the potential increase in vehicle uptime, with fewer roadside checks: last year, 3.85% of Fraikin’s ER vehicles were stopped compared with the national roadside stoppage rate of 60%.

David Archer, head of risk and data at Fraikin, says: “From the outset, the DVSA’s goal was to increase transparency, all while driving the industry into the digital age.

“Everything we are doing as a business is about enhancing the customer experience; we’re being very clear with operators that Earned Recognition is a first step towards digitising the industry, and it’s a future they can be part of right now.

“We’ve been showcasing the benefits to our customers for the past 12 months and are encouraging as many as we can to get involved.”
