Future Industrial Services banks 50 hours a week with r2c Online

Waste management business Future Industrial Services says it has streamlined operations and saved more than 50 hours a week in fleet admin time since implementing r2c Online’s fleet and workshop management software platform.

Future Industrial Services provides environmental and specialist industrial services across the UK, operating from nine depots, as well as waste treatment plants, waste transfer stations and workshops. The company also offers a 24-hour emergency service.

Previously, the business used a range of systems, paper and digital, across all sites, but needed a solution to the problem of manual data recording and multiple keying of information.

“It was a full-time job to scan in and manually check all of the inspection documents that came in each day, let alone action them, which took at least a day of my time every week,” says Dave Ruddy, Future’s transport operations and compliance manager.

“We shopped around but found that r2c was the only software platform that provided a solid and comprehensive offering for managing both the fleet and workshop at once.”

With r2c Online’s software, vehicle maintenance and compliance tasks can now been viewed in real time. In addition, Future has since signed up to use r2c’s digital driver defect app, core maintenance management, business intelligence and digital inspection modules.

“It’s freed up my time so I can focus on proactive work, rather than being bogged down in reactive administrative tasks. Across the business, we’re easily saving 50 hours each week in administrative tasks,” says Ruddy.

“We have the r2c dashboard on a big monitor in the office so we can all see what’s going on, including senior staff. We all have peace of mind that we are operating compliantly.”

He adds: “Next year, we’ll be working towards achieving Earned Recognition and we know r2c can help us on that journey as the leading provider in the field.”
