Garage equipment firm Gemco has signed a major deal with Mercedes-Benz UK for the supply and installation of equipment for ATFs (authorised test facilities).
Gemco UK sales manager Nigel Munsey says the firm will be working closely with partner Everquip Garage Equipment to provide the complete package for the ATF test lanes.
Everquip will provide the prefabricated steel pit and ancillary building works, while Gemco supplies and installs the test equipment.
Munsey also says the firm will supply BM Autoteknik products, including the BM12200 brake tester (VOSA's current choice) and BM53000 play detectors.
Gemco will also supply a range of ancillary equipment, including smoke-meters, pit jacks, headlight testers and other accessory items.
Says Munsey:"This is a major contract for both Gemco and Everquip and is evidence of Mercedes-Benz desire to provide a total service package at their truck dealerships."
