Lincoln-based animal waste management specialist GH By Products has expanded its trailer fleet with the delivery of 10 Fruehauf step frame bathtub tippers.
Joining a fleet of 220 trailers, 43 tractor units and seven rigids, the new tippers will be used to collect animal by-products from abattoirs around the UK to be processed into pet foods or used for incineration in the energy sector.
The firm has placed the first two 67 cubic yard capacity bathtubs into operation, with the remaining tippers arriving two a month through to November. The new additions will eventually operate from the company’s depots in Lincoln and York.
The bathtubs are specified with BPW axles and suspension, with 420 x 180 drum brakes as well as reinforced water-tight and air-operated tailgates; five of the trailers are fitted with drainage taps at the front and rear.
