Warehousing and transport business Global Road Runners has taken delivery of four top spec MAN TGX tractors, describing them as “the right tools for the job”.
The Northampton-based operator’s new additions are 44-tonne gtw TGX 26.480 XXL models, with 12.4-litre engines delivering 480bhp at 1,800 rpm.
The trucks are supplied on a three-year contract hire deal through MAN Financial Services.
Adam Barnell, contracts manager at Global Road Runners, says: “We were looking at the vision for our business going forward and we were looking for the right tools for the job – and that is what MAN delivered.”
He adds: “The drivers are all going to go through the driving training and will be making the most of all the onboard technology to get maximum efficiency from the trucks. We are looking forward to seeing some economies with them.”
