Go-Ahead Ireland has taken delivery of three new Enviro200 single-deckers, from Alexander Dennis (ADL), for a newly acquired contract from the country’s National Transport Authority (NTA).
Chris Stringer, head of engineering at Go-Ahead Ireland, says that the ability to respond quickly with new, low-emission vehicles played a crucial role in the operator securing the new route.
“Within weeks, ADL had three brand new, 10.8m, 41-seat vehicles modified to our requirements, shipped, registered and ready for service,” he says.
“The Enviro200 is a perfect fit for this job and the result is a win-win situation for everyone – for Go-Ahead, ADL and the NTA. We are delighted with the outcome.”
