Gray & Adams is claiming to be the first UK trailer manufacturer to have EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval for tri-axle and tandem axle trailer models.
The approvals cover both refrigerated and dry freight variants, as well as Gray & Adams curtainsiders – meaning around 80% of the trailer manufacturer's current production.
Type Approval does not become mandatory for trailers in the UK until October 2012, but Gray & Adams suggests that this development is proof of its commitment to product and legislative development.
Rigid vehicle WVTA does not become mandatory until 2014 and Gray & Adams says it is confident that these trucks will also be approved in good time.
