Harris launches new SAIC LCV platform in new name

Following its rebrand from LDV in April, Chinese automaker SAIC Motor distributed by Harris Group of Ireland is launching its first light commercial vehicle under the new Maxus branding: the Deliver 9.

The 3.5t gvw Deliver 9 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine and 161bhp and 375Nm of torque. All models include electric power steering and autonomous emergency braking, while a manual DPF regeneration button in the diesel range always ensures the van runs at optimal levels, even during heavy traffic congestion and daily city driving.

With a choice of front or rear-wheel drive, it’s available in three lengths (5.2-5.94m), three heights (2.4-2.75m) and variants, including panel van, chassis cab, crew cab and minibus models.

Also launched is the first fully full-electric vehicle under the Maxus brand; the e Deliver 3 has no other powertrain options. It clocks up to 198miles /320km (NEDC) / (150 miles / 240km combined WLTP) on a single charge (52.5kWh battery).

The Maxus e Deliver 3 is available in three variants with two wheelbase options: a short wheelbase panel van, a long wheelbase panel van and a long wheelbase platform chassis.
