Providing weather protection and load security, this side to side ‘Roll n’ Go’ sheet is made from 900gsm PVC. The sheet is operated manually from the ground either by a rear winding handle or from the side by pulling the sheet closed using the centre security strap. To complete this particular specification, Harsh also designed and manufactured a bespoke lightweight top frame complete with curved support domes at each end of the body.
“We wanted a sheeting solution that would be practical, reliable, easy to operate and provide complete sealing for the payload,” said Harry Charlton. “For a one-off requirement such as this, there’s a big advantage if the whole system can all be designed, built and installed as a single item at a single site.
The obvious choice for this was Harsh, not least for their ever-growing reputation in the sheeting business, but also because they are more than happy to provide individual, bespoke solutions for customers like ourselves.”
The British built Ktwo trailer is a twin axle design with a steel body and hydraulic tailgate offering a payload of up to 13 tonnes. Typically towed by a tractor, it will mainly be used to transport harvested wheat and barley from field to warehouse, as well as a raft of other farming duties.
Mark Britton, who heads up the sheeting and tarpaulin business for Harsh at their HQ outside York, said: “We are delighted to have been able to provide Harry with exactly the sheeting system his company needed for their new trailer. Whether for rigid tippers, full size semi-trailers, farm trailers or other bespoke products, Harsh now has the widest range of sheeting solutions available in the UK.
Design, manufacture and fitting can all be done here at our dedicated workshop at Full Sutton - it’s a complete service, from start to finish.”
