Haulier taps into predictable costs with five-year Goodyear deal

Haulage firm Dent Logistics has awarded a five-year contract to Goodyear in a deal, says the operator, which gives “greater predictability” of costs.

The Cumbria-based haulier will now use Goodyear’s top mileage tyre, KMax, as well as its mixed service tyre, the Omnitrac. It will also use TruckForce, the tyre manufacturer’s fleet management service.

“Running a cost-efficient fleet is a priority for our business,” says Martin Hall, Dent’s finance director.

“Goodyear understood this and compiled a package that allows us to really optimise our tyre spend. The price-per-kilometre business model enables us to manage our tyre investment with much greater predictability.”

The contract term, he adds, “shows the great level of trust we have in Goodyear’s ability to provide exceptional product performance, alongside the level of service support we need to minimise downtime through TruckForce”.
