Scottish tipper business Central Demolition is using Thompsons to supply high-sided Loadmaster bodies with a full specification so that each vehicle can perform multiple duties.
The Bonnybridge-based firm needed bodies with higher sides, so that it could maximise payload volume for its recycling work as well as clear rubble, steelwork and concrete from demolition sites.
Fitted to both Renault and DAF 8x4 chassis, the trucks provide a working payload of around 19 tonnes and their specification includes heavy-duty underfloor stabilised tipping gear for improved strength and rigidity. They have 1350mm high sides, with Hardox internal liners and floor, barn doors and a Hardox pushbar.
"These bodies give us all the strength we need, yet with a volume bonus as well," says Ross Craig, Central Demolition's managing director. "Whatever jobs we put these trucks on, we know we've got the best possible solution."
