Yeomans Travel of Hereford has taken delivery of one i6 Integral (pictured) – a 12.9m two-axle coach, with DAF PR265 engine and a ZF AS-Tronic auto-shift gearbox.
Operations manager Ian Davis says Irizar's strong aftersales proposition was a key factor. "That is every operator's biggest worry – losing a vehicle from the fleet for days. From what we have seen and heard about the back-up we decided to buy from Irizar UK."
Meanwhile, Lucketts of Fareham added two more i6 Integral coaches to its fleet, delivered in time for this year's tour programme, and is reporting good performance.
Lucketts' new additions are 13.2m, tri-axle 53-seaters coaches, with specification including powered locker doors and a wood-effect floor.
Each has the MX13 340 DAF engine and ZF's AS-Tronic auto-shift gearbox.
