Isuzu Truck to unveil Euro 6 trucks at the CV Show

Isuzu Truck will be unveiling four Euro 6 vehicles and a parts club loyalty scheme at the CV Show (29 April to 1 May2014 at the NEC).
Keith Child, marketing director at Isuzu Truck, says that visitors will see two versions of the firm's new, lighter N75.150 Urban 4x2 rigid, the latest N75.190 4x2 rigid and the new version of the 11-tonne gvw Isuzu Forward F110.210. One of the new Isuzu Forward Urban vehicles will feature a Petit Forestier bodied refrigerated truck with a Carrier Xarios refrigeration system, while the other will have a dropside body. The new Urban trucks now harness Isuzu's lighter-weight turbocharged four-cylinder 3.0 litre 150bhp power unit – so countering the weight increase resulting from its Euro 6 engines, which now use of EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) and SCR (selective catalytic reduction). Child says the Urban is more than 200kg lighter than the Euro 6 N75.190 Forward (and about the same as the outgoing Euro 5 Forward). So while the latter remains the choice for more arduous duties, the 150bhp Urban is ideal for payload critical, stop-start, local distribution. And to celebrate the Urban's launch Isuzu Truck is running a competition at the CV Show, with a long weekend for two in Verona – close to where the new Urban is assembled – as the top prize. Moving on to the other trucks, the Euro 6 N75.190 4x2 rigid on show will be fitted with a tipper body, while the 11-tonne gvw Isuzu Forward F110.210 will have a curtain-sided body. "While our new Euro 6 vehicles will be a major talking point at the show, we're also pleased to announce the launch of the Isuzu Truck's new Parts Club," comments Child. "Well before the show opens, all existing Isuzu Truck customers will have received their membership pack details... By [joining], our customers will receive regular offers on accessories, genuine parts and service items from us and their local dealers."
