IVECO adds new variants to DRIVEAWAY bodybuilder programme for Daily

Following on from the successful relaunch of the ready-built IVECO DRIVEAWAY programme for the Daily range in September 2020, five new mission-ready models are set-to-roll, catering for an even wider range of professionals.

These new vehicles are launched to coincide with the company’s focus on the grounds maintenance & forestry sector. The five new variants are based upon either the 3.5t GVW or the Daily 7t GVW.

All DRIVEAWAY vehicles are built to the ‘business’ trimline which delivers an enhanced residual value. Standard features include manual air conditioning, cruise control, front fog lights and electrically heated/adjustable door mirrors.

First, the 3.5t Daily Business 35C14H Caged Tipper includes 2.3-litre F1A 134bhp, six-speed manual gearbox, twin rear wheels on a 3,750mm wheelbase. Features include tyre pressure monitoring system, sump guard, cross-axle differential lock, elliptical rear springs and towing electrics. The aluminium-framed, galvanised steel mesh caged body has a side-access door, behind-cab toolbox, rear barn doors with tailgate and electrohydraulic underfloor tipping gear with in-cab controls.

Second, the 3.5t Daily Business 35C16H Arboricultural Tipper offers a bigger engine, the 3.0-litre F1C 157bhp, and traction plus and hill descent control, plus the construction pack above. It also sports a three-stage tipping gear with key fob remote control.

Third is the 7.2t Daily Business 72C18HA8 Dropside. This again has a more powerful engine, the 3.0-litre F1C at 177hp, with HI-MATIC 8-speed automatic gearbox mounted on a longer 5100mm wheelbase. Fourth is the 7.2t Daily Business 72C18HA8 Scaffolding Dropside, which has the same engine and chassis with ladder rack and six pairs of scaffold sockets.

Finally there is the 7.2t Daily Business 72C18H Tipper with the same engine and six-speed manual gearbox, plus the construction pack and double dropside.

Other vehicles in the category are a 3.5t twin-wheeled dropside & tipper, single-wheeled Luton and both curtainside and box 7.2t trucks with options for column or tuck-away tail-lifts and wheelbases from 3,450 to 5,100mm, body and gross vehicle weight (GVW) dependent.
