The Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) is to bring its functions in-house to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
The JAUPT processes applications from training providers for centre and course approvals for Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and drink-drive rehabilitation.
At the moment, the website and the way courses are searched for through the current JAUPT website which is linked to GOV.UK will stay the same.
The way courses and centres are approved and audited will remain the same so that the number of courses and quality of training are not affected.
