The LCV2015 exhibition, which opens today (9 September 2015), at Millbrook Proving Ground, is running with a theme of ‘Bigger Thinking on Greener Vehicles’, centred on the LowCVP (Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership) tand.

LowCVP says it intends to work with stakeholders – including its 200 member organisations – to drive progress in road transport emissions reduction, also creating opportunities for UK businesses.

Main themes on the LowCVP’s stand include:

Trucks and buses: promoting a robust, independent accreditation scheme for low carbon HGV technologies and supporting the introduction of a new low emission bus scheme.

Transport energy: joining up the energy and vehicles road maps and how to meet the 2020 European targets.

Fuels infrastructure: supporting the roadmap to the future for fuels used in transport.

Innovation: stimulating SMEs in the adoption of best practice towards low carbon technologies.

“Our collaborative and evidence-based approach to industrial policy-making in this area, involving the widest possible range of stakeholders, has been shown to deliver real benefits to UK plc,” states LowCVP managing director Andy Eastlake.
