Vehicles were driven by Salop Powder Coating, Frank Dudley, Yeoman Pressings, Pemberton Engineering, Cooper & Jackson, SSC Laser, BBE Engineering, AE Oscroft & Sons, Petford Group and Phoenix Tooling and Development – all manufacturers in the region.
“There is a lot of talk at the moment on manufacturing, about how 2016 will finish, how 2017 will start and nothing but post-Brexit uncertainty in the news,” states Made in the Midlands president Christopher Greenough.
“The idea of the MiM fleet is to show that manufacturing is alive and well, and that Britain is open for business,” he adds.
“This year has been a tumultuous time for manufacturers, particularly following the Brexit result,” comments Made in the Midlands managing director Jason Pitt,
“The government may be continually stalling on the decision to leave the EU, but manufacturers are already acting,” he continues.
“The fleet of trucks was great proof that Midlands manufacturers are stronger together in a post-Brexit Britain.”
