The future of the commercial vehicle industry’s skills resource is set to play a part in this year’s CV Show (26—28 April, NEC, Birmingham), which will again play host to the Manufacturing Institute’s ‘Make It’ Challenge.
This year’s challenge will run on each day of the CV Show, and will give 140 12—14 year old students the opportunity to see what makes the transport industry tick.
Organisers IRTE, RHA and SMMT say the focus will include safety, efficiency and telematics.
The students will be tasked with designing, building and then presenting their ideas to a team of industry ‘dragons’, mimicking the television program Dragons Den.
