McMurrays Haulage has taken delivery of a high-spec Volvo FH-500, Globetrotter XL 6x2 tractor to mark its 45th anniversary.
Supplied by dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials, the Accrington-based operator’s new 500bhp addition is on general haulage duties and its internal spec includes leather upholstery, twin bunk, fridge, and an air-suspended and electrically-operated driver’s seat.
The truck operates across the UK and McMurrays has taken a Blue R&M contract with the dealer.
The FH’s livery includes artwork to commemorate the company’s founder and his son, both of whom passed away as a result of cancer. “It seemed right to honour my father and brother ... by featuring portraits of them in the cab artwork,” says David McMurray, director.
“Drawing attention to and raising funds for cancer care is very close to our hearts.”
