Mercedes dealers merge for more muscle in the North West

Dealerships
Mercedes dealers Enza and Road Range have merged to form a new £160m commercial vehicle business, now known as Roanza.
With a combined workforce of 400 employees, the new business says it will have "the financial muscle" to make the necessary investments in facilities and services to meet Mercedes-Benz UK's ambitious growth targets. Enza has held the franchise for Manchester, Cheshire and North Staffordshire since the mid-1970s. Road Range was established in 1980 to support operators on Merseyside, and later took over the Deeside and North Wales regions. Former dealer principals Brian Kempson of Road Range (left) and Roy Reed of Enza (right) now take the Roanza helm as joint managing directors. The new company's eight dealerships and one used truck centre will continue to trade under their previous names until the two businesses have been integrated. The deal was part funded with £5.8 million from Santander Corporate & Commercial.
