Microlise has right ingredients for Bretts Transport

Telematics
Bretts Transport is rolling out a fleet management system from Microlise, which includes a safety module to record driver and vehicle data before and after any incidents.

The Peterborough-based operator is installing the solution across its 90-strong fleet of HGVs, which delivers ambient food and food-grade packaging to retailers across the UK.

“We were impressed with the functionality of the Microlise telematics solution and the safety module, which will improve our performance and protect our drivers while they are out on the roads,” says Simon Brett, managing director of Bretts Transport.

The company has deployed Microlise Fleet Performance, giving information on infringements such as speeding, harsh braking, acceleration and cornering.

The optional safety module specified by Bretts features an incident data recorder to provide detail of driver and vehicle activity 30 seconds before and after an incident.

“Bretts will achieve return on investment in a short space of time through reduced fuel costs and wear and tear of vehicles, while having more information when incidents do occur,” predicts Nadeem Raza, Microlise CEO.
