Millbrook Proving Ground has signed an agreement with Swedish proving ground Colmis, which wil enable extended cold climate testing and development for vehicle manufacturers.
Miguel Fragoso, managing director of Millbrook, says that with Millbrook's 700 acres of land and 70km of test tracks and technical facilities, plus Colmis' 3,500 acres of lake and land tracks, which include polished ice, scraped ice and snow and packed ice, the pair can now provide very wide test and development services.
"Colmis is a world centre of excellence for extreme cold climatic conditions and we are proud to have reached this agreement," states Fragoso.
"Together we are now able to offer one of the most comprehensive test and development packages in the automotive engineering industry."
"Having worked with Millbrook on a number of projects in the past, we felt their experience and expertise would be an invaluable addition to the Colmis offer," adds Harald Fjellström, managing director of Colmis.
