Morelli Group takes a shine to new Citroen Dispatch vans

Automotive paint distributor Morelli Group has taken delivery of 15 Citroen Dispatch vans, partly as fleet expansion and partly vehicle replacements.

The Enfield-based business is a longstanding Citroen operator and is deploying the new vehicles across its UK depot network.

The Dispatch L2H1 HDi 125 six-speed manual Enterprise vans were supplied on ALD Automotive three-year/135,000-mile contract hire deals.

The vans have a payload of 1,200kg and are powered by an HDi 125 engine, with a combined cycle fuel economy of 44.1 mpg and CO2 emissions of 168g/km.

Standard specification includes air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a Connecting Box (including Bluetooth and a USB socket), electrically folding heated door mirrors and a full steel bulkhead.

The Dispatch also comes with Teletrac satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking.

"We like the way Citroën offers its vans with defined trim levels, rather than a large number of options, which makes ordering vehicles easier," says Robert Cohen, Morelli's financial director.

"Citroën's LCVs are ideal for our intensive, high-mileage operation, providing excellent driver comfort and safety, along with reliability and low cost of operation."

Morelli Group has also ordered five DS 5 Hybrid4 cars for its senior management.
