TomTom Telematics has added an asset tracking feature to its Webfleet fleet management solution, enabling operators to have visibility of equipment such as trailers and generators.
The new feature means the position of both vehicles and assets are shown on a map, via one interface.
Users can receive alerts when an asset is being used, when it leaves a designated area or when any motion is detected. Notifications can also be set up to alert when maintenance is required.
TomTom Telematics is changing its name to Webfleet Solutions from 1 October.
